1. 🐍 Union Back to the Bronx
The Leagues Cup didn’t exactly come at a good time for a Philadelphia Union team that found the winning feeling again, rattling off three straight wins after winning just once before the long World Cup break.
Ryan Richter and company will have the always challenging task of playing on a baseball diamond when the match kicks off at 6 p.m. tonight at Yankee Stadium. With Etihad Park set to open next July, it is potentially the last time we ever have to watch a game on the worst pitch in MLS.
It will mark the first game for the Union at Yankee Stadium since they demolished the Pigeons 5-1 in September 2024. The Union lost to NYCFC in their regular season home opener in March on a late stoppage time winner from Tayvon Gray.
The match kicks off at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Apple TV.
